### Allowed and Never Allowed

- **Always Allowed**
- **Never Allowed**
- **Allowed at the Teacher’s Discretion**

Wesleyan School's team created their policy based on the [SAMR model](https://appreciated-platforms-869779.framer.app/blog/samr-and-ai-dont-get-stuck-on-substitution#2) of technology integration, resulting in 8 categories for AI use with students. The five levels falling under "Allowed at the Teacher's Discretion" reflect the varying levels of AI integration that could be allowed by teachers. Not only does this poster serve as a guideline for students to understand what is allowed, but also it serves to inspire teachers to incorporate AI at varying levels into their courses. This chart was printed out and displayed as a poster in classrooms and hallways throughout the school.

Allison shared an entire folder with the materials the Wesleyan team used to form their AI committee, craft their policy, and share their policy with others. Included are Matt Miller's book _AI for Educators_, book study questions, presentations about their process, and more. 1. Acquire a working understanding of AI.
2. Learning how to best integrate AI within each academic department using Flint and other tools.
3. Define academic integrity with AI.
4. Create a school-wide AI policy.
