# Chat Activity Discussion

Many of our teachers who are new to Flint are accidentally creating activities within a chat. Is there an easy way to move the created activity so that it is actually a capital-A Activity for a class?

Agreed, I would probably take it a step further; I would love to see them side by side rather than on top of each other, so that teachers see them as two separate items on the Home screen. 😃

I’ve been able to take prompts I put in a chat and plug them into the Activity creator, choosing “Build with Sparky” instead of manually creating the activity. Isn’t this the fastest option?

Agreed - the issue is when the teacher has tweaked the original prompt through a lengthy conversation in the chat, and then realizes only at the end that it’s not an Activity. I don’t see an easy way to take the final result and make it an activity without repeating the entire conversation.

Thank you everyone for the feedback! Our team will definitely work on making this more seamless. For now, you can ask Flint at the end to “Create a document with the settings for this activity.” Then you can download or copy the contents of that document and paste it into the activity builder chat.

Agreed. Many teachers over here doing the same. Need a “Make this a Flint Activity” button somewhere.

I’ve had quite a bit of success just copying and pasting the chat into the “create an activity” option. I do like the idea though of a “Make this a Flint Activity” button!

Have Flint turn the chat into a document to download. Upload the document as you are creating the activity. Have Flint refer to the document as it is creating the activity.
