# STUDENT Flint Memories

In my previous post, I asked Sparky to give me a list of questions that would help it build “Memories” of me in my profile settings. Students can do the same thing, but have slightly different questions. Here is what Sparky said it needed from students:

## **Essential Information**

1. **Grade Level & Academic Context**
   - Current grade (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th)
   - Courses they're taking this year
   - Academic strengths and subjects they find challenging

2. **Learning Preferences**
   - How they learn best (visual examples, step-by-step explanations, practice problems, etc.)
   - Whether they prefer concise answers or detailed explanations
   - If they like analogies, real-world examples, or specific types of connections

3. **Interests & Passions**
   - Hobbies, sports, activities (helps me create relevant examples—like using basketball stats for a student who loves NBA)
   - Career interests or fields they're curious about
   - Topics they find genuinely engaging

## **Helpful Academic Details**

4. **Goals & Challenges**
   - What they're working toward (college prep, specific skills, grade improvement)
   - Subjects or concepts they consistently struggle with
   - Study habits or organizational challenges

5. **Communication Style**
   - Do they want encouragement and positivity, or just straightforward feedback?
   - Preference for formal vs. conversational tone
   - How much scaffolding they want (more independence vs. more guidance)

## **Context for Better Support**

6. **Background Knowledge**
   - Prior experience with topics (e.g., "I took Algebra 1 last year but struggled with quadratics")
   - Relevant skills or knowledge from outside school
   - Languages spoken at home (if relevant for learning)
