Hey Lulu,

How can we share activities that are only visible to members of our school by default? Oliver got 404 errors from the link to an activity I shared. I got the same from trying to view an activity Jon shared.

Hi Isaac, there’s a couple different options for sharing!

To make it **visible to anyone in your school**, I would recommend publishing to the school library (available in the three dots at the top of the activity page). But keep in mind, students will also be able to see it as well.

If you just want to **give a copy to another teacher**, you could duplicate it and make the new teacher an owner.

If you’re wanting to **work together on the same activity**, you can do so by adding them as an owner to the activity you’re working on. This can be done in the “Share activity” panel.

Let me know if you have any questions here!

It was a teacher outside my school community that wanted to view the activity.

Ah I see, then the main option is publishing the activity to the public library. Then that teacher can use the link to make a copy in their own workspace. Do you think this works for your purposes?

When I tried doing that, my workspace doesn’t give me any options to publish. I asked our school admin and he told me that our workspace is private and sharing is permitted outside our school workspace.

I followed an article to create a personal workspace so I was thinking about creating my activities from there moving forward. I am currently working on testing that.

Oh that’s interesting! It should be that you can publish from any workspace. The publishing doesn’t share any student responses and requires that teachers do their due diligence to make sure they don’t share sensitive information through the public template they create. Could you send the link of the activity to me so I can take a look?

It worked for me: I was able to publish the activity I created in my workspace (outside of my school’s) and adjust the settings such that anyone with the link may view or copy it. From now I will be creating all my activities from this personal workspace and copying it when I toggle back to my school’s workspace. Your article was helpful. Thanks!

Thanks! I am designing all my lesson preview (for my flipped classroom) this way - story based. It is a shame I am not able to share the previous 13 activities I created during this summer 😔. I was hoping to be able to share (publish to the public library) so others may possibly benefit from this idea and also give me feedback on how I can improve them.
