# How do I stop Flint sign-up confirmation emails from getting blocked?

Guide for IT to ensure that sign-up confirmation emails from Flint are not blocked.

You should get a confirmation email immediately when signing up for Flint for the first time. This email will come from [support@mail.flintk12.com](mailto:support@mail.flintk12.com) and will ask you to confirm your email address to continue with the sign-up process.

If you don't receive this confirmation email within a few minutes and you are sure that you have already been [invited to Flint](https://help.flintk12.com/en/articles/8342374-how-do-i-invite-a-user-to-flint), your school may be blocking the email. Below are steps that your IT team may have to take to ensure the deliverability of the confirmation email:

1. Please whitelist the following IP address by following [these instructions](https://support.google.com/a/answer/60751?hl=en): 159.183.177.4
2. Additionally, whitelist the following email address: [support@mail.flintk12.com](mailto:support@mail.flintk12.com)
