AI Oregon Trail game | Flint

AI Oregon Trail game

Let students play a text and image version of the Oregon Trail card game, where the AI will generate events based on the official rules.

Teaching goals

The Oregon Trail is a classic game that challenges players with the realities of 19th-century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail.

To make a digital version of the card game powered by AI, a teacher can provide the following learning objective and supporting materials:

Extra customization

Next, Flint will automatically generate all the underlying prompts to ensure that the AI will follow the rules of The Oregon Trail. As part of this process, Flint automatically generates a grading rubric.

By default, the generated rubric is formatted as A-F. However, the teacher can manually edit this rubric to make it more appropriate for this game.

Student experience

As soon as students start the session with the AI tutor, they get to play a digitized version of the original card game!

And, thanks to Flint’s image generation, powered by DALL·E 3, students can ask the AI to help them visualize game scenarios to help bring them to life.
